WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

The Shuttle Driver safely and efficiently transport guests and team members to local destinations, proceeds with the most direct, safe, and sensible route for all transport.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

  • Safely and efficiently transport guests and team members to local destinations
  • Proceeds with the most direct, safe and sensible route for all transport
  • Ensures vehicles meet all safety and security protocols
  • Ensures all traffic laws are obeyed while operating company vehicle
  • Assist passengers during the loading and unloading process
  • Ensure and assist with safe transport of luggage from and to the vehicle
  • Ensure the vehicles interior and exterior is clean, and vehicle is fueled
  • Assists guests with local knowledge regarding, lodging and area attractions
  • Has a basic knowledge of local routes
  • Assist with transport of guests luggage to and from guests room when necessary
  • Communicates effectively when shuttle emergencies or repairs occur or are needed
  • Completes and ensure accuracy of all required logs and paperwork
  • Acknowledge all guests and respond promptly to their needs, however busy and whatever time of day
  • Ensure unresolved incidents are reported to Manager/Supervisor
  • Familiarity with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
  • Complete required Appraisals
  • Contribute to the team’s success by accomplishing tasks and assisting with projects as needed
  • Maintain knowledge and compliance with departmental policies, service procedures, and standards
  • Availability during peak operating times, i.e.: Weekends, Holidays and Special Events
  • Work as a team member to ensure our guests have the best possible experience
  • Understand company’s emergency procedures and be able to apply them when necessary
  • Report any incidents, property damage or injuries immediately to Manager/Supervisor
  • Attend department meetings and training sessions as necessary
  • Support Southern Management’s Mission, Vision, and Values
  • Comply with all Southern Management’s policies and procedures
  • Perform various other duties as assigned by Manager and/or Supervisor

JOB KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to follow traffic laws and regulations, avoid accidents and adapt to new and existing weather and traffic conditions
  • Must have physical stamina and ability to lift 50 pounds or more
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Compute basic arithmetic and mathematical calculations
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Sound leadership and managerial skills
  • Ability to work effectively in stressful, high-pressure situations while maintaining composure and guest satisfaction
  • Technical knowledgeable and competency in necessary systems and software:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preferred driving experience of local area
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
