WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Duties include setting patron tables and buffet areas for service. During service, a Banquet Server accommodates all guests and is responsible for replenishing buffet food, refilling beverages, removing dirty dishes from tables and assist in additional tasks to help facilitate a smooth and efficient service.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

  • Tips certification is required.
  • Attend pre-function line-up.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of service requirements for assigned function
  • Detailed menu selections, major ingredients, appearance, texture, quality standards, garnish and method of presentation.
  • Knowledge of particular characteristics of drink recipes/description of wines/champagne and libations ordered.
  • Knowledge of prices for specified bar selections on cash bars.
  • Knowledge of station assignment and bar set-up.
  • Knowledge of group name, type of function and expected attendance.
  • Knowledge of scheduled hours of service.
  • Knowledge of special requests/arrangements.
  • Knowledge of order of service, traffic flow in room.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons and drunk driving.
  • Efficiently complete pre-function side work
  • Greet guests as they arrive and assist them with beverages.
  • Serve all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage items to the guest in accordance with function requirements.
  • Keep the bar tidy and organized throughout the event.
  • Remove bar mixers, juices, alcohol and garnishes at the end of the event and return to proper storage.
  • Set up, monitor, refresh and breakdown bars for specified functions according to group requirements.  Wipe down and disinfect the bar at the end of the shift.
  • Return front and back bars to designated storage location.
  • Efficiently complete closing side duties
  • Adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies/procedures.
  • Follow maintenance program and cleaning schedule.
  • Handle all beverage needs as specified in contract.
  • Make sure the counts on the bar match the issue counts on the consumption sheets
  • Maintain accurate counts of additions to bar inventory.
  • Complete an accurate return count for all bar events.
  • Complete required liquor room side work.
  • Return all mixers, beer, wine, liquor to proper designated storage area and leave the liquor ready for inventory counts.
  • Familiarity with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
  • Contribute to the team’s success by accomplishing tasks and assisting with projects as needed
  • Maintain knowledge and compliance with departmental policies, service procedures, and standards
  • Availability during peak operating times, i.e.: Weekends, Holidays and Special Events
  • Work as a team member to ensure our guests have the best possible experience
  • Understand company’s emergency procedures and be able to apply them when necessary
  • Report any incidents, property damage or injuries immediately to Manager/Supervisor
  • Attend department meetings and training sessions as necessary
  • Contribute to team/company engagement efforts
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Manager and/or Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1 year experience as a Restaurant or Banquet bartender preferred
  • Minimum 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
