Senior Sports Marketing Representative
Under the direction of the Tourism Manager, the Senior Sports Marketing Representative is responsible for obtaining, retaining, and developing sports tournaments and other group business. This role is responsible for meeting established sales goals, event management including format development, team recruitment, registration, budgeting, marketing, securing facilities, sponsorships, scheduling & logistics, and coordination of housing.
Special Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Marketing preferred, or a related field; 1 to 3 years' experience in organized sports administration; Ability to network with event organizers and other sports industry professionals to bring new tournaments and group business to Wicomico County; Must possess proven leadership, communication, and supervisory skills to motivate and direct employees, volunteers, and local organizations; Must possess strong analytical and organizational skills; Ability to prepare and produce detailed reports, Ability to work nights and weekends; Ability to travel occasionally as needed; Valid Driver's License; and Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
