Responsibilities Include:
1. Securing corporate contributions and sponsorship funds in support of MPT programs
and/or projects in compliance with individual sales plans and perform other activities
related to the MPT FOUNDATION and MPT business objectives.
2. Identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting, cold calling,
networking, and attending industry events.
3. Close a minimum of 10 new accounts annually and increase revenue by 5% year over
year.
4. Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations/sales pitches/proposals to
prospective clients that can also be shared and used by other team members. These
proposals should be in keeping with the guidelines set forth by the Public Broadcasting
Service and MPT governing on-air credit length, content and business practices.
5. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure high levels of
client satisfaction and retention.
6. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with clients to ensure mutually beneficial
agreements.
7. Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to
identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
8. Collaborate with internal teams, including development, creative services, and content,
to develop customized sponsorship solutions that meet client objectives.
9. Attend weekly report meetings for the purpose of sales planning and training. Provide
weekly sales report information and regularly maintain Salesforce database records as
required and assigned by the Managing Director of Corporate Support or his/her
designee.
10. Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to track progress towards goals and
identify areas for improvement.
11. Provide regular updates and reports to Managing Director of Corporate Support on
sales activities, pipeline development, and revenue forecasts. Provide a weekly sales
report that specifically contains year-to-date revenue for most recent month, year-to-date
goal for most recent month, previous year revenue for comparable period, business closed
previous week, meetings held during the previous week, meetings scheduled for the
upcoming week, business pending for the upcoming week, top prospects, and other
relevant prospect activities.
12. Assist in the integration of new team members by allowing them to shadow client
facing meetings or calls.
13. Other duties as assigned.
